Kumano Miyama, famous as a World Heritage Site

Kumano Miyama, a World Heritage Site, is located about 50 minutes by car from the hotel.
Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and Kumano Nachi Taisha are collectively called Kumano Miyama, and its history dates back to about 2,000 years.
Hongu, Kumano Taisha

It is the total Hongu of 3,000 Kumano Taisha Shrines nationwide, and it is the most stringent shrine among the three companies.
This Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine was designated as a national important cultural property in 1995.
As you climb the stone steps in a quiet forest with 158 steps of cedar trees leading to the main shrine, Kumano Hongu Taisha will appear.
Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine

Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine is one of Kumano Miyama, where the vivid vermilion shrine is impressive, situated against the magnificent Kumano River.
The main gods are the couple gods of Kumano Hayatama Ogami and Kumano husband Sumi Oga, who are said to have deified the movement of water, and the twelve gods are enshrined.
The sacred tree towering on the precincts, the millennium-old "Nagi no Daiki" is a symbol of Kumano Gongen and a nationally designated natural monument.
Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine

It is famous for its "Nachi Falls" which is also a World Heritage Site.
The origin of the natural religion that worships Nachi Falls as a god, and the six red-painted shrine and hall of worship have a sacred atmosphere.
Aogishi Toji Temple, which is adjacent to the east side of Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, is the first place for the pilgrimage to the 33 places of Saigoku.
