Hongu, Kumano Taisha Shrine

It is the total Hongu of about 3,000 Kumano Taisha Shrines nationwide, and has the strictest atmosphere among the three companies.
This Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine was designated as a national important cultural property in 1995.
As you climb the stone steps in a quiet forest with 158 steps of cedar trees leading to the main shrine, Kumano Hongu Taisha will appear.

Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine

Kumano Hayatama Taisha is one of Kumano Miyama, where the vivid vermilion shrine sits behind the magnificent Kumano River is impressive.
The main gods are the couple gods of Kumano Hayatama Ogami, who are said to have deified the movement of water, and the couple gods of Kumano Husband Sumi Ogami, and twelve gods are enshrined.
The sacred tree towering in the precincts and the 1,000-year-old "Nagi no Daiki" are symbols of Kumano Gongen and nationally designated natural monuments.

Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine

It is famous for "Nachi Falls" which is also a World Heritage Site.
It originates from the natural religion that worships Nachi Falls as a god, and the six vermilion shrine and hall have a sacred atmosphere.
Aogishi-toji Temple, which is adjacent to the east of Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, is the first place to pilgrimage to 33 places in Saigoku.
